David Pappalardo

Owner, Trainer, Handler, Breeder

David's first major experience with dogs was when his dog Hunter, a Belgian Malinois, had puppies with a neighbor's dog.  As he watched the pups grow, he knew he wanted to work with dogs. David has since sought out the best trainers to study from and K9 training schools to attend.  He has completed canine training courses from Tarheel Canine Training, Police K9 Services/North State K9 Academy as an Obedience Instructor, Police K9 Trainer and K9 Decoy.  He has also received certificates in Scent Detection, Tactical K9 Operations and as Master Canine Trainer. 

David uses training philosophies that he has learned from years of training and competing in martial arts and applies them to dog training and decoying.  David's specialty is bite development and as a K9 Decoy.  

After representing other training companies, David started K9 Unlimited LLC.  He has been breeding and training since 1994 and stresses quality over quantity.  He regularly attends, hosts and instructs dog training seminars and clinics.  David is also actively involved with various dog clubs and organizations.  He also participates, organizes and donates time and supplies to numerous canine charities, volunteer organizations, rescues and animal shelters.

Jonathan Katz Trainer, Handler, Breeder Jonathan grew up with a love for animals.  Any chance he had, he would play, walk or care for dogs.  He began his career rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing abused and abandoned dogs.  He was always involved in volunteer work, whether it be for animals or people.  Upon high school graduation, he went to Israel.  While he was there, a man walked into the center of town and blew himself up.  Jonathan was standing only three blocks away and witnessed the explosion.  It was a turning point in his life. Jonathan attended Triple Crown Dog Academy, where he has completed several canine training courses, including Canine Trainer, Behavior Specialist and Police K9 Trainers Course.  He is also a certified decoy and decoys for protection dogs, police K9s and protection sport dogs.  Jonathan's specialty is Scent Detection and Obedience. In 2006, Jonathan went back to Israel and was deployed as a canine explosives detection handler/trainer/instructor.  He and his dogs worked at borders, checkpoints, high risk security detail and for high ranking foreign officials and diplomats.  He has worked hand in hand with the Israeli Military, Special Forces, Israeli Law Enforcement, Private Security and Israeli Secret Service.
